THE CAST

Terry Ballard

Director, Artistic Director and Founder of T-TYME Productions

Terry Ballard (SAG/AFTRA, AEA) is an actor, writer, producer and director residing in New York. As an actor she has been on the stage in many plays from community to off-Broadway. Ms. T. is "surprisingly humorous", a natural character actor, and has been called an "exciting and compelling actress" by The New York Times, "Ms. Ballard does have a unique gift for acting" says Eternal Flame Newspaper.  During her career, Terry has been involved in all aspects of fashion, performing arts: stage, film, television, modeling and radio.  She completed her Masters of Arts in English, Creative Writing and by the time she graduated, had 11 plays produced and had won three awards, including the E.Y. Yip Harburg Scholarship for her play Sayman's Ghost (a Jamaican comedy) as well as grants for playwriting.  In 1990, T-TYME PRODUCTIONS was formed. Because of past successes, Ms. Ballard had gained a following due largely to her ability to communicate with the audience with her inspiring, provocative, sometimes even controversial, plays. It was this effective communication with the public that led T-TYME Productions to be opened to the community through classes, workshops, concerts, music and plays to empower others who are gifted in the arts. This has extended into the classrooms of the NYC Department of Education where Ms. Ballard, after having completed a second Masters of Science degree in Admin. and Supv. at Fordham Univ., founded The FORWARD (Film, ORrchestration, Writing, Art, Recording and Drama) Program and, along with a team of educators: Kenneth Allen Crutchfield, Virginia Jose, and Hortencia Silfa put together the FORWARD School of Creative Writing, a NYC Public school for aspiring writers, still in existence in the Bronx, NY. Ms. Ballard served as principal for two years at the school before moving on to resume her professional career in the arts full-time.
